ePiSaT at The Google Earth Outreach launch, Nov 5 at Macquarie University

Members of the ePiSaT will be at the Google Earth Outreach launch to demonstrate, in a very Google Earth way, how ePiSaT is modelling Australia’s carbon cycle. Here is a video we produced to illustrate how our project is modelling Australia's terrestrial Gross Primary Production.

Date: 5 November 2012
Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Location: Macquarie Theatre, Macquarie University
Macquarie University is partnering with Google to launch Google Earth Outreach, a program designed to help non-profit organisations, NGOs and Indigenous peoples in Australia and New Zealand. Google Earth Outreach leverages the power of Google Earth and Maps to illustrate the important work these communities and organisations are doing in areas such as energy, environment, human rights and cultural preservation.
At the launch, you will have the exclusive opportunity to see some of the enterprising projects first hand and to be inspired by keynote addresses from Macquarie University Professor Tim Flannery and Engineering Director Google Earth Outreach, Rebecca Moore and Engineering Director Google Australia, Alan Noble.
Additionally there will be hands-on demonstrations from launch partners, and the opportunity to meet Googlers, non-profit organisations and researchers making use of these tools. Light refreshments provided.
If you have any access requirements please contact Philippa Borland on (02) 9850 1881 or events@mq.edu.au.
